I saw a yellow gumball machine in Blog land a few weeks ago.  It was so great.  So when I saw this for $3.00 I jumped for joy.

I have to confess I am also addicted to Goodwill and Habitat Restore.

I scored all these wooden frames for $11.00 at Goodwill.

I can’t wait to get them all to use in their new home.

Wow, you did get some good deals! For whatever reason, I haven't been to a yard sale in years. I go to GW all the time, though. I've got two globes that I found there. I've seen more, but the hubs said two was enough. ha ha

Wow! You scored some good stuff! Love that menu board. My hubby is collecting those barometers, he has 2 so far and gave 7 bucks for each one. I came over from The DIY show off's. Have a great rest of the week!

Great deals! If my house wasn't up for sale I would definitely be going to more garage sales!

wow! cool stuff! I JUST got home from Restore! :)
I typed a reply to your comment, and as I was getting ready to hit send, I saw that you are a no-reply comment@blogger. So, the email would have landed in bloggerland somewhere. Anyway, this is what I said in the non-sent email:
Janet.... the paint srpayer listed a minimum of 150 psi. That is why I chose this one. I got it at Home Depot because I had the gift card, and I had no money to buy the compressor at Harbor Freight :(

thanks for the input. I'm sure I'll have to take it back, and then they will give me another gift card. hmph!

thanks for the tip on the plastic liners! way cool!

I'm replying to your comment on my Thrifty Threads blog. I'm sorry to do it this way, but I couldn't find your e-mail anywhere and you have your default comment e-mail set as noreplyblogger, so I can't reply back directly to your comment. Anyway...

Aww, thanks so much! My mom dressed me in ugly clothes too. She just didn't have any kind of sense of the way kids were dressing and she was just buying what they would afford. She didn't buy our clothes from thrift stores either, but I'm sure we'd have been mortified if she had, and that's sad. I don't want kids to be ashamed that they are wearing used clothes. I mean either a kids's parents spend a thrifty amount of money on ugly new clothes or they spend a lot of money on just a few name brand items. Unfortunately, most of the time, parents spend tons of money (that they don't have) on their kids' name brand clothes. With the economy the way it is, kids should be helping their parents by being thrifty and hopefully that will be something that they carry on to at least college.

I'm also hoping to encourage a lot of re-purposing old clothes and making your own jewelry type things on this blog too. And I am really going to encourage followers to do guests posts on thier own thrifty teen wardrobes, either as a tween/teen or as a parent of one. If this is something you're interedted in, please let me know.

And yes, ALL of the name brands are out there! I just can't believe what we find sometimes.
